πŸ’¦ Overflowing Alupola Falls🍁

                           πŸ’¦Alupola falls🍁

My village is the southernmost slope of the central hills and has the largest number of waterfalls in Sri Lanka.  This time from Journey of Gemcity we bring you the journey of my friend Hashen and I to see the Alupola Falls overflowing in the heavy rain.
Alupola Falls is located in Wewelwatta village, 29 km from Ratnapura town. This beautiful waterfall is 50 meters high and flows from the Sri Pada rain forest.

It was a day in August. It had been raining heavily since morning. When the middle of the rain we set off for Alupola on Hashen's motorbike.

In the meanwhile Hal Falls, Dehena Falls and Madanagiri Falls were overflowing but we could not take photos due to heavy rain. As we approached Alupola Falls the rain subsided a little. As we approached the waterfall view point, a mist was flowing in the distance.
After a while, the upper part of the falls was covered with heavy fog.Now it looks like a waterfall flowing from the sky.
That day I traveled without going to the morning lecture on campus.Wanting to attend an evening English lecture, we returned home shortly after.
Alupola Falls is a highly sensitive ecosystem that drains very clean water. So if you come here make sure not to harm that environment.
