Second aware siripa๐๐ ep 01
Last week Journey of Gemcity brought you our first Awara Siripa tour. Today we go to Awara Siri Pada once again with a lot of new experiences. Come with us ....... to experience that wonderful experience.
This time we were well prepared for the rain, wind and frost due to our previous experience. This time too we prepared to visit Sripadha through Erathna. This time our team had five participants. About ten in the morning we arrived in Erathna.
This time we came by motorbike and took the Varanagala short road which avoided about 3km of difficult part of the journey. A section of the road was severely damaged due to heavy rains a few days ago. We can't go beyond that on motorcycles. So we parked the bicycle and started walking.
We entered the forest from Warnagala and walked for a while ....... now we are very hungry. We found a small stream. So we sat down and ate our rice parcels.
After a short rest we continued on to the Seethagangula It had not rained for two days so we could easily cross the river. We bathed in the river, ate some betel nut and started our journey uphill. We continued along the footpaths that ran across the plains through the forest.
Within a short distance we came across a number of small waterfalls. This time there was no Nelu flower carpet covering the forest that we saw during the last visit. All that was left were the dead trees. In another seven years, the forest will be in full bloom again.
Elephant ๐ฉ
Going further we smelled a familiar smell. Yes ...... the smell of the giant in that forest ......... the smell of elephants. The night before, a small herd of elephants had left their mark on our road. They eat all the leaves of the surrounding reed bushes.
We passed the part where the elephants were and had lunch near a stream we met. The road is full of flowers. The surrounding grass was eaten by rabbits and deer.
We arrived at our usual lodge around three-thirty in the afternoon. At that time the thick fog had cleared and we could see Mount Sri Pada. But in a few more minutes the whole environment was covered in fog again. There were no springs around the shed as it had not rained for two days. We checked to see if there were waterways everywhere. As we proceeded along a footpath into the forest we came across a small stream that brought water from it until dark. Collected to the surrounding wood in to the shed. This time we brought a tent to protect us from the cold.
When night came, we prepared everything and drank the food and coffee we had brought. Then he lit the lantern and went inside the tent. Expect the rest later.
