Koonissan Falls is a beautiful waterfall unknown to many in Ratnapura. This waterfall is located in Rathganga village 25km away from Ratnapura town. Today  Journey of gemCity  will visit Kunissan Falls. 
           As usual, our group started their journey from Gallella in the morning.  When we reached Rathganga, two of Hashen's friends came to take us to the falls.  With them we set out for the falls along a difficult path.  At some point we had to push our bikes and move around.  At the end of the motorbike lane we entered the yard of a house.  

Now we can hear the sound of the waterfall in the distance.  You have to walk a long way to reach the falls.  That footpath is in the middle of the Sri Pada rain forest.  We crawled under the dense forest and came a long way to reach the waterfall. 
The waterfall cascades down from a great height into an open space filled with large boulders. It's a wonderful sight. 
                                 
           We came to the waterfall and rested and prepared lunch there.  The environment is very cold. In the cold we ate hot noodles. Then our "sarigama  sajje" began.

After a while the environment darkened and the sky became heavy with rain clouds. When it rains, the waterfall overflows dangerously.  It was dangerous to stay there so we left to come back.  
           If you visit Kunissan Falls, make sure not to ruin that beautiful environment.

                Third aware siripa🍁🙏 ep 02  As darkness fell we reached Haramithipana. We have to go up another 2000 steps to our accommodation.  We will not be able to get there before nightfall.  But we moved on.   After a while the night dawned.   Wildlife is active at night. Fortunately, elephants do not roam the area where we should go.   But we can be harmed by leopards, wild boars and snakes.  We lit the torches. Wild animals move away when they hear human voices.  So we went on singing and singing.
