                 Aware siripa๐Ÿ๐Ÿ™ episode 02

...... I picked up the flashlight on the ground and aimed it at the animal.  The animal was clearly visible to the torch light.  It is a gray animal that is slightly larger than a cat.  He stared at my torch light for a moment and then ran into the woods.
In the same way, there was a risk of a large animal entering our shed.  I stayed awake until morning, lighting the fire.  But again, no animals came into our shed.
In the morning I lit a stove and boiled water.  It has been raining since noon yesterday.  Due to the thick fog the surrounding environment is not visible.  I called Kavidu Aiya and woke him up.  We brought noodles for our breakfast.  When the water started to boil we cooked the noodles.  After breakfast we cleaned the shed where we were staying and arranged our luggage.  The shed where we stayed was located at the foot of Mount Sri Pada.  We left our luggage in the corner of the shed and started climbing Sri Pada in the rain.
The surroundings are overgrown with wildflower.  As we climbed the mountain the fog and wind gradually increased.  We proceeded to pluck the surrounding flowers to offer to Sri Pada.  Now we are very close to the top of the mountain.  We were now climbing the precipice of Mahagiridambaya, the most difficult part of the mountain. The wind is blowing so hard we can't see beyond a few meters because of the fog.  It is an experience that a tourist should have at least once in his life.
                           Mahagiridhamba
Now we are at the top of Sri Pada hill.  We reverently laid flowers and worshiped the footprints of the Buddha.  We came from the foothills soaking wet in the rain so the cold on the top of the hill was not a problem for us.  Then we came back to our accommodation.  We made two hot cups of coffee to clear the cold and drank and left to go back. We left from Palabaddala Raja Mawatha to return. On the way back the rain had subsided a bit.  Waterfalls abound on both sides of Palabaddala Rajamawatha during the rainy season. We came to the village watching them.  This is how our first Awara siripa tour ends.  See you on the second Awara tour with lots of new experiences.                    sri padha udamaluwa
