 Dehekanda Mukkuwatta Sri Pada Road is the longest and most beautiful road to climb Sri Pada. This time we bring you our fondest memories of the Mukkuwatta Siripa journey through the "Journey of Gemcity 💎 "

 It was march in 2020. I and our group of pilgrims, including the our" podi hamuduruwo", left for Dehenakanda in the morning. When the sun came up we reached the forest border at Dehenakanda.

We started our journey by worshiping the Buddha statue there.We walked through the dark mysterious   forest.The sound that the birds, squirrels, and various creature   constantly sing is so sweet.

As we went up, the fog began to rise and it got colder. By noon we reached Paradise Falls.It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the way. We bathed in the waterfall and made tea and drank.

Then the journey resumed. Going forward, the journey became more and more difficult.  But the surroundings are very beautiful.As the sun was setting in the west we were crossing the most difficult mountains on the way. It was one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen in my life.

Now we are in the" Sri Pada udamaluwa". After a short rest, our group worshiped Sri Pada the same night and returned home on the Ratnapura Road. If you are also an eco-friendly tourist, visit Dehenakanda Sri Pada at least once.
